What do you believe viewers will love most about Arts & Conversations?
Attendees of Arts & Conversations will love the variety of art and artists that will be displayed along with a wide variety of prices. Between all five galleries, there are close to 300 artists represented. It’s a first peek at some new work and talent. And you don’t have to be with the masses at an art fair, since it’s free to whomever registers.

What are you most excited about in the upcoming series?
I am excited by the enthusiastic response I’ve received from the galleries, artists and collectors. Coming from Chicago and a passionate collector myself, I’m thrilled to introduce galleries and artists that are not already represented here in Palm Beach. Palm Beach has a growing art scene. It’s also my new home, and I want to add to the conversation.

Who else is featured in the series, and what will they bring to the table?
The five featured galleries will bring a wide range of art and artists to speak at their individual opening nights. One of the featured speakers is Michael Darling, former chief curator of the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago. He is responsible for some of the most profitable shows ever in any museum and has a remarkable eye for talent. One of the most trusted professionals in the industry for over 30 years, Joel Straus, from Straus Art Group, is an art adviser and helps collectors with acquisitions, deaccession and estate planning. Another featured professional is Steven Henry, director of Paula Cooper Gallery in Palm Beach.

Why do you believe this is the ideal time to launch this series in Palm Beach?
Florida has welcomed a huge influx of big-city dwellers that still want the culture without the hassle of living in those big cities. The global art galleries have followed the people, so Arts & Conversations is expanding the pool of artists along with the keynote speakers. I think that educational programming will be a huge asset to the curious new collector as well as the seasoned collectors. Demystifying the complicated art world can only be helpful before making any purchases.
